Grandparents’ Day and Annual Day

To kids, happiness is participating in Grandparents’ Day Celebration and Annual Day Celebration. They are the larger than life events held bi-annually for which all students and family members eagerly wait. These mega events provide a great platform to young kids to participate and magnify their skills and showcase their hidden talents. In Grandparents’ Day, they render their heartfelt tribute and unconditional love to grandparents. On the other hand Annual Day is the culmination of school’s academic year. It’s time for celebration and recognition of students as well as of school’s achievements. It is the time when kids mesmerize the audience with their understanding of the world and show them of how they can be agents of change. They inspire everyone with their innocence and honesty.

Festivals, Special Days, and General Assemblies

The spiritual life of the school and students’ holistic development go hand in hand. They learn to celebrate each festival in an environment-friendly way carrying forward the legacy of being a secular Indian. The virtues that they learn help them to adopt peaceful means of dealing with any difficult situation. They learn to respect fellow students and other individuals.

All Special Days are celebrated and their significance is elaborated during the school assemblies. Even General Assemblies deserve a special mention here as students get a chance to participate, present their acts on the front foot and even work in coordination with others backstage.

Intra-School and Inter-School Activities

An array of activities is planned for the whole year. Each student gets umpteen opportunities to participate in these activities and prepare themselves for National and International level competitions whenever they knock on their doors. These include debates, declamations, dramatization, character portrayal, street plays, singing, dancing and drawing competitions, etc.

Students not only participate in activities at the home level rather they also win accolades at interschool championships.

Sports

The winning extravaganza in the field of sport mirrors the rigorous practice sessions our students undergo to mould them into budding sports champions.

The students are trained, with gruelling regularity, the necessary skills in the playfield, thus, infusing in them perseverance and self-discipline in following sports: Table Tennis, Chess, Volleyball, Badminton, Roller Skating, Tae-kwon-do and other Athletic events.

ECO CLUB

Eco club of the school strives towards creating awareness about environment and its protection. Students are sensitized through various activities and assemblies which inculcate in them a sense of responsibility towards nature. The motto of the club is ‘Nature Nurtures’. Emphasis is laid on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It also helps in promoting healthy eating habits among children.

KHWAISH- SOCIAL SERVICE CLUBS

The school has a social service club for middle and senior school children which does various projects within and outside the school for the benefit of the general community.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT CLUB

Children are the most vulnerable victims of any form of hazard-be it natural disasters like flood, earthquake, landslide or manmade disasters like fire, terror attacks, stampede. It is well established premise that it is not the hazards that kill but unsafe construction, ill- preparedness, and lack of awareness that make a hazard into a disaster. The young minds are more receptive to new ideas and need to be trained and made aware of certain basic principles that will not only safe their lives but also being future citizens, they play an important role in nation building. Therefore, our school address disaster preparedness through fun activities in the school premises.

PILATETLY CLUB

Student Council

Leadership is not a position or a mere title. It is an action and example. 

At Adarsh, we provide our young students ample opportunities to take up new responsibilities on their shoulders that would make them influencers, leaving a strong impact on the masses. Investiture Ceremony is the most awaited event of the school. Every year the school celebrates the appointment of the new Students’ Council. It is a prestigious event in which the school flag is raised, and students take the oath to make it flutter higher with their deeds and achievements.  The elected Head Boy and the Head Girl lead others in taking the pledge and motivating other students to work zealously and achieve greater heights for themselves, the school and society at large.
