Smt Gyan Devi Sahgal
(1908 – 1998)
Born in 1908 in a humble family in Punjab, now in Pakistan. Smt Gyan Devi Sahgal had a very positive and impactful aura on everyone who came in touch with her.
From traveling across the globe in the pre-independent era to setting up educational institutions especially for girls in Lahore, there was a passion in her to ensure 100% literacy for both boys and girls. A holistic developed child who can take on the world was her desire until she left for the heavenly abode in 1998.
Her thoughts and ideals still remind us every day to tread on the path of quality education for all.
